From Toronto actor, Dave Walpole, comes this very funny “audition video” addressed to J.J. Abrams and Kathleen Kennedy for the upcoming Star Wars episode 7 film.

If given the choice, would you want inside you “clean water”, or the water that kills 5,000 children a day?

Many of us live in countries where “clean water” is in abundance and readily available. I’m sure you would agree that we could not imagine ourselves traveling great distances to acquire it. We could not imagine ourselves using contaminated water to cook our food, grow our crops, or simply clean our children, R2 units and ourselves. We live on Earth not on Naboo.

Join me in my quest to provide developing countries clean water, a right we all deserve. You’ve seen my video.

Comicon is a celebration of comics, costuming,scifi, fantasy and a showcase of artists. This includes many independent film makers, such as the creators of the webseries, Darkest Times by – Digital Canaries. I had a chance recently at the Toronto Comicon to talk to one of the stars of the web series, Emma Sutherland.

What is…Darkest Times?

“What if one morning everything changed? Friends, family, loved ones, populations disappeared. Left in an post apocalyptic world, hunted by an unknown enemy, a small group forced together by circumstances struggle to survive through their darkest times.”
