TUCSON, AZ, February 18, 2016 – Today, Legendarium Media, LLC, an entertainment news and online publishing company, announced a partnership with The Forge Studios, LLC. The Forge Studios will take over management of the Legendarium News site under the leadership of Ron Newcomb as the newly-appointed Chief Operating Officer of Legendarium Media, LLC, operating under the supervision of Erik Yeager, who has been promoted to Chief Executive Officer.

“Legendarium News has a phenomenal writing team, and Ron and his team at The Forge Studios understand our core audience and they’re interested in the stories that we and our readers are interested in,” said Erik Yeager, CEO. “The Forge Studios has a proven record of success in social media engagement and content creation, and they will be instrumental in helping Legendarium to achieve a new level of success in the sci-fi, fantasy, and historical fiction online news space.”

In addition to operating an online news site, Legendarium is an innovative new media company that publishes genre-based scholarly articles and engages with their highly-focused fan community through collaborative writing projects (with partner, Skrawl.com), community forums, and social media. Legendarium is also developing original publishing and filmed entertainment content, and bringing in The Forge Studios to manage the news site will enable the Legendarium team to carry out its vision for deeper community engagement initiatives and original content creation on a more aggressive timeline.

Producer Skip Lipman of “Darkon” fame joins production team for Transmedia Web- series, “The Rangers”

Skip Lipman, the driving force behind the award winning, critically acclaimed, cult classic documentary “Darkon” joins the ‘The Rangers’ action/fantasy web series, already in development. He says, “my goal is to strive for excellence in The Rangers’ production quality, tell an epic story, and create a rich fantasy world that people can really get into and will want to explore for themselves,”.

The series chronicles the adventures of a special force of soldiers, known as Rangers, founded long ago by King Aenarion to guard the borders of the Kingdom of Olaran. Each web based episode will follow the adventures of the unit of Rangers led by Brander Noke, also known as Wolf, their new rookie Soren Fell and the rest of the close knit team. Together, they must help their world overcome its greatest challenge as they face their own personal demons. Can the Rangers save their world? Join them on the journey to find out.

The Rangers series creator, award winning filmmaker, Ron Newcomb is energized to have Skip on the team. “Skip has been a story teller his whole life. From early on roleplaying in his youth, to orchestrating epic large scale battles in Darkon. Skip brings the type of richness and depth into the story that fans want to see. They can just enjoy the story or dive deep and have adventures of their own.”

‘The Rangers’ is far from a stand-alone web-series. ‘The Rangers’ is a transmedia production with touchpoints across multiple platforms and formats for a dynamic and immersive fan experience. The plan is for fans to be able to watch on the web, interact via ‘The Rangers’ video game, apps, collectible card game, miniature battles, role-playing game and graphic novels. All elements are being developed in synergy with all aspects of the adventure. “The Rangers” transmedia approach is so that fans can choose to interact and control their experience through “The Rangers’ adventure, in a way that is uniquely their own.
