In a dystopian universe, on a dead-end, backwater world, an orphaned boy and his sister, a mystic Seer, try to escape from the sway of their megalomaniac uncle by seeking out the help of a reformed gunslinger. That’s the start of the new podcast series, Outlawed Faith, now debuting on the TFN Audio Channel.
Created by The Forge Studios and One-Eyed Horse Productions, Outlawed Faith is a sci-fi western adventure for the whole family. Previously imagined as a short film (you can check out the trailer here) and a beautifully illustrated comic book, the story has morphed and expanded into an exciting new audio podcast format, debuting this week on the new TFN Audio Channel at The Fantasy Network — the premier site for indie sci-fi and fantasy by fans, for fans.
The story of Outlawed Faith is perfect entertainment for audio listening, an adventure-filled tale that both kids and adults will appreciate. It’s an appealing brew of good and evil, dystopian settings, faith, and redemption — exactly what you’d hope for in a mashup of western and science fiction tropes.
The tale brings young Jonah and his older sister, Celine, to the borderland town, Harpdale, a dusty crossroads where the law is what one makes it. They seek out his mother’s old friend, the famous reformed gunslinger Kulta. But what they find is more than what anyone bargains for.
Mixing in a dose of steampunk alongside the western, sci-fi adventure, Outlawed Faith feels a lot like Firefly, told by way of Hell on Wheels. With 15-20 minute episodes one, two and three already up and available for your listening pleasure, you’ll be able to binge this lively story anytime.
Tune in to listen on TFN Audio.
