A “Brave” New Character for Once Upon a Time

A “Brave” New Character for Once Upon a Time
By David Glenn

Comic-Con always seems to be the place to get the news for your favorite movies and television shows. Once Upon a Time has revealed some footage for a bonus feature for the DVD of season four, which introduced characters from Arendelle as well as Cruella and the Author. Well, in addition to heading to the land of Camelot, season five of Once Upon a Time is introducing a new character: Merida.

First appearing in the Disney/Pixar film Brave, Merida is the daughter of King Fergus and Queen Eleanor. The footage from Comic-Con didn’t show much, just her walking through the forest shooting arrows at targets. She does split an arrow in two, just like she did in the film. It’s possible that she could be a resident of the Enchanted Forest just like many of our favorite characters are. Merida will be played by Scottish actress Amy Manson, who is known for her work on Being Human. Check out Merida below, as well as the video of the Dark Swan, and be ready for Once Upon a Time to return on September 27 at 8 p.m.
