According to Variety Magazine, Disney Theaterical Productions is in talks to produce a stage verison of the iconic comedy-fantasy novel and film The Princess Bride. Both the 1973 novel and 1987 film were written by William Goldman and are beloved by millions of fans across the world.
Walt Disney Chairman Alan Horn is heading the project, though few details have been released. It has not been determined whether the film will be a traditonal stage production or musical. It is not associated with the previous 2007 attempt to bring The Princess Bride to the stage that was given ka-bosh when an agreement could not be reached between planned composer Adam Guettel and Goldman.
