Christopher Lee Releases New Metal Album by Michelle Lawhorn
If you’ve ever even remotely thought that Christopher Lee’s voice could easily be used in a rocking metal song, you’d be right. The highly accomplished actor (Dracula, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Ivanhoe, The Last Unicorn) will be releasing his second album (yes, his SECOND), “Charlemagne: The Omens of Death”, on May 27th, also his 91st birthday. Don’t expect any over-emotional screaming or Ozzy Osbourne insanity, however. Lee maintains his elegant and composed regality throughout the album. As he told The Quietus: “The first Charlemagne album is metal, of course, but what I sang was more symphonic. Now on the second one, The Omens Of Death, it is 100% heavy metal. I’ve done my bits and pieces, and they are heavy metal. I’m not screaming or anything like that, but it is definitely heavy metal.”
You can listen to samples of each track on the official site linked above, and take a look at the video album preview below.
