New Offerings?

It is a known truth that you can recognize a great tenor from just a few bars of song, and a fabled painter from the peculiar way of brush strokes. And film directors are no exception to the rule.
It was, therefore, a pleasant surprise for me, to find out that Brian Kirk, (aka the man responsible for bringing the world of Westeros to life), would be again flexing his creative muscles and directing a sci-fi romp laconically billed as “Passengers.” Science fiction very likely coupled with the aesthetics familiar to all of us die-hard GoT fanatics – what is not to like?It is also rumoured to have plenty of scary aliens creeping and crawling around (a big plus from me!), and Neo from Matrix (aka K. Reeves) starring, which does promise a lot, to say the least.
The DigitalSpy website states that “Passengers” will be the director’s first venture into full-length cinematic productions rather than TV. What remains to us is to wish best of luck to Brian, and wait excitedly for the release of the film – bonus points to everyone who will note any similarities in aesthetic layout with the Game of Thrones world!
About the Contributing Reporter: Olga A.
Hailing from the swirling mists of London, I am a freelance journalist in my free time, and a huge fan of J R Tolkien’s “Lord of the Rings,” as well as an admirer of the “Game of Thrones,” a worshipper of H P Lovecraft, a follower of R. Howard, a Star Wars aficionado and an Ursula Le Guin enthusiast. My other favourite things include Middle Eastern dance (sometimes somewhat discourteously referred to as “belly” dancing), Yoga, sunsets over the dreaming spires of Oxford and plush owls. Oh, and green tea too.
