The Green Dragon Inn: An Interview with Shayne Forrest at the Hobbiton Movie Set, New Zealand

Rachael Ashdown, Legendarium Reporter, went on an adventure across New Zealand and has been reporting on her experiences.

During her travels she visited The Green Dragon Inn, located on the Hobbiton Movie Set and was able to talk with the Food and Beverage Manager for the Green Dragon Inn, Shayne Forrest.

“The Green Dragon™ Inn featured in The Lord of the Rings film trilogy as the local meeting place for all the residents of Hobbiton. It was the perfect place to satisfy their thirst, enjoy a meal and gossip about the comings and goings of The Shire. The inn also makes an appearance in The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.” Visit the Green Dragon Inn website at http://www.hobbitontours.com/TheGreenDragon/tabid/106/Default.aspx

She has a degree from Sweet Briar College in International Affairs, but her passion is writing, anything from sports articles to fan fiction to analyses of military theory. In her spare time she dreams of being one of Tolkien’s elves, practicing archery and wandering through forests wherever her travels take her.
